1. Listen Up #4 (Baby and Birthdays)

   Hey guys, listen up!
   
   I have not done this in a while, but I felt like indulging in a little pointless writing/rambling/updating you guys on what's been going on in Chad land. I figure I may as well do this at least once a year. Anywayz, as most of you already know, come this fall I'm going to be a dad. Crazy isn't it? I know. Everyone keeps asking me how I feel about it. To tell the truth I guess I actually really am excited. A little scared. I've heard my fair share of horror stories, but I'm still excited. So far the whole pregnant wife thing has been really interesting. I used to think television and books and stuff really exaggerated pregnant women…I've come to learn that this is not true. They really are nuts (Love you Mack) But I guess if I had a person growing inside of me for nine months I'd be a little nuttso too.
   
   Speaking of my lovely wife, yesterday was Mackenzie's birthday. (Happy 24th, baby) We had a smashing time….even though our electricity went out for about an hour during the party. But we had fun running around the house scaring the crap out of each other. Eventually we took our party outside where a lot of people were gathering since the entire block was out and it was cooler than being inside of the house. It was fun. Lots of cake, lots of friends, lots of gifts, and Mack enjoyed herself, so that's all that really mattered to me. We ended up with some really crazy pictures too. I'll have to post some once I get them developed. (I know, I'm the only guy in the world that still uses a disposable camera. Sue me)
   
   My birthday is next week. No party, but that's okay with me. But I am doing something I've wanted to do since I was sixteen years old, and that's get a tattoo. I've decided that I'm definitely doing it. Last weekend Kyle and I went tattoo parlor scouting and we found the perfect place. I'm excited. As for what I'm getting. Well I was originally going to get a spade on my shoulder, but now I'm thinking I may do something else. We'll see. Point is, I'm definitely getting a tattoo. But no names. I do love Mack and I plan to be with her for the rest of my life, but walking around with a unisex name on my body isn't exactly something I'm digging.
   
   I guess that's all for me for now. No drastic changes in my life…well except the kid thing, but that's not for a while yet. As always, thanks for listening/reading/skimming through or whatever you did. Keep rocking them socks.
